Why more people stop responding to like invitations? A main reason is - it goes in automatic refusal. As users we are boomed with social requests and in the recent couple of years it becomes even more aggressive. This reflected on our own behavior as a recipients of the pages’ requests.
You want something… often the first thought is “Nope, I wont give it to you!”
It gets even more complicated if you pass that initial rejection. Then, your invitation will probably end under a subjective activity approval. “Do I really want to show that to my connection?”. More often than we think, the answer is no! Why? People started building their own social credibility and image and you must be allowed to take part in it. Now, we even pay attention to what the message of our reply would be. Unfollowing a friend due to irrelevant or over activity is more common than ever. The reason is simple - sometimes we just don’t like what others like.
So think the liking as the other’s profile activity. Would you like it, if you were on their place?
Answering this question could be amazingly powerful. We are both part of the social network and if you do not think that the post deserves the like, hardly others will.
